Why Support Professionals?

Almost anything you do in your daily life is a direct result of the work of a professional.

The roads you drive to work on were designed and are maintained by professionals.

The food you eat and the wine you drink is safe because of standards and inspections determined by professionals.

The software you use on your computer has been designed by professionals.

The healthy forests, wildlife, and rivers you see on your way home are protected by professionals.

Professionals are behind the scenes of every industry to protect public health and safety and to provide effective stewardship of public resources.

Professionals work to improve the lives of the general public through their specialized knowledge gained from extensive education and years of experience.

They are accountable to their employers, their professions, and the general public. They are extremely dedicated to their vocation and will go above and beyond the call of their jobs to protect the public interest.

The work of professionals has a direct impact on the quality of life for every resident in BC. But to be effective, professionals need certain tools and resources. Professionals For BC is working to ensure BC’s professionals are able to continue their important work.

We hope that you’ll support BC’s professionals, and the important contributions they make to public services and healthy communities across BC.
